Kyra Minturn

 KyraMinturn Sedgwickwas born on August 19, 1965 is an American actress. She is best known for her leading role as deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson on the TNT crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick received an Emmy Award in 2010 and a Golden Globe Award for 2007 for her portrayal of Johnson. After the conclusion of the seventh season, the show was cancelled on August 13, 2012. Sedgwick is also famous for her recurring role as Madeline Wuntch on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick was nominated for an Golden Globe award in 1995 for her performance on Something to Talk About. Sedgwick's other roles include Oliver Stone's Born to the Fourth of July (1989), Cameron Crowe's singles (1992) The Heart and Souls(93), Phenomenon (1996) as well as What's Cooking (2000) as well as Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick is the daughter of Patricia Rosenwald and is an educator therapy for families, a venture capitalist as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick VII, a speech therapist. Her mother was Jewish and her father was Episcopalian and of English heritage. Sedgwick is a self-described Jewish, and she has said that she participates in Passover seders.
